Charles Wells Services, Inc. was incorporated in the State of Georgia in mid‐1997, as a Subchapter S Corporation. Charles Wells is 100% owner and Vice President, and his son, Michael Wells as President. We employ approximately ten employees, the majority of which have been with our company five years or longer. While we currently work all over the State of Georgia, we have provided services in Florida and have bid work in the entire Southeastern
USA.
Approximately 98% of our income is generated by clearing timber and grading right of ways for utility companies. Clearing of timber is performed utilizing mechanical equipment, approximately 95% of tree cutting is done by mechanized equipment such as tree cutters, feller bunchers and other heavy equipment, five percent is hand cut utilizing chainsaws. We build access roads to the right of ways which includes installing culverts, pipes and stone. We are responsible for supplying and installing erosion control measures which include best management practices such as silt fence, geo-textiles, stones and vegetative controls such as grass.
The other two percent of our income is generated by performing site work residential and commercially, such as clearing and grading for home or office sites.
